Expert's Corner
Blast into July!

Jason Shapiro — Intertech Instructor

Hello and welcome to my first Intertech Newsletter!

My name is Jason Shapiro and I’m a new Java Instructor with Intertech. I was previously a software architect at Lawson Software, and prior to Lawson, at Computer Associates. I look forward to meeting you in one of my upcoming classes. In my inaugural issue, we have:

  • Tips to recession-proof your career
  • The top architecture mistakes to avoid
  • An article from our Director of Training (and my boss) James White on mobile development
  • An article from Tom Salonek, Intertech’s founder and CEO, on the politics of leadership
  • Thoughts on programmers and planning—maybe they just shouldn’t be managed

Last issue (thanks to several of you for noticing), we had a couple of “hiccups” in last month's newsletter—the Elite Rewards program download and our company intro video had incorrect links. Here are the updated links:

  • Intertech Elite Rewards™ offer discounts for pre-purchasing training, simplified enrollment, and other member-only benefits. Contact us at 651-994-8558 +23 to learn more.
  • Are you getting this newsletter but don’t know much about Intertech? If so, spin up by watching this four minute video on Intertech

Finally, while I’m a Java guy, I need to “get the word on the street” about an upcoming FREE Microsoft event. On September 4th, Intertech is hosting an Oxygen Blast event at Microsoft. The event will cover SQL Server. Because these events fill to capacity, save your seat by pre-registering here.

Take care,
Jason Shapiro
Intertech Instructor
