Fee-based newsletters are becoming more common as publishers try to find a paid model that works. Ebooks and ereports for sale at high prices continue to grow with prices as high as $67, $97 and over $100! I decided to explore this trend and talked with three well-known publishers about this in this month's feature.
A reader needs your help with finding the right template for her newsletter. I bet some of you have great ideas or knowledge on what to do. Do you have a newsletter or online marketing challenge of your own? Please share, you may be anonymous if you wish. If you contribute an answer or question, we'll enter your name in a drawing for a Pair of Garmin Rino 100 MP3 GPS.
It's spring here in Texas. The weather has been shifting from the 60s to the 80s. Does this newsletter need a spring cleaning? It'd be great if you can complete this speedy (it takes a few more than five seconds) reader survey. Most of us are doing jobs of at least two people, so to thank you for completing the survey, we'll enter your name in a drawing where you could win a Pair of Garmin Rino 100 MP3 GPS.
By the way, April 28th is the baby's second birthday! I couldn't send out this newsletter without saying something. I learned long ago that time goes by fast, and I try to appreciate my children's ages rather than say, "Oh, I wish he was 10-year-old already." He'll be 10 soon enough and before we know it, he'll be graduating from high school. Before the May issue arrives, my daughter will have "graduated" 5th grade. Wow. I'll have a kid in middle school in a few short months, and have been writing to all of you for 30 months (it started on November 20, 2002). Time flies when you’re having fun!
Best,

P.S. Thanks for forwarding the newsletter to bunnies, colleagues and friends. If you haven't done it, I'll throw you a chocolate bar (no calories!) for sharing it—a complimentary copy of our e-book, A Marketer's Guide to e-Newsletter Publishing, a $24.95 value.
Forward the email, and in Your Friend's Email Address: enter "yourfriends@email.com, meryl@internetviz.com" (sans quotes and replace yourfriends@email.com with the actual friend’s email address) to receive the e-book. It's an unusual way to do it, but it ensures I know to send you the ebook!
