Bring in the Money with an E-Newsletter

Use content, consistency, and customer service

by Joan Stewart, The Publicity Hound

Those are what I call "The 3 Cs"—the three most important things that contribute to my success as an e-newsletter publisher.

Other publishers might have their own favorites. But those are the things that create not just happy readers, but happy readers who buy my products and services.

Team Work and Newsletters That Bring in the Money

Emarketing has changed dramatically over the past year and following the eNewsletter mantra is more important than ever before: business people buy when they trust the perceived value is applicable to them and comes from a stable source.  Every eNewsletter decision made must address one of these core tenets: value, trust, stability, applicability.

Spam threatens to take over our prospects' and customers' email boxes.  Just getting their attention for a few seconds is becoming more difficult.  We’ve changed the eNewsletter Journal to reflect these challenges.  We will continue to offer real life stories from successful eNewsletter marketers. Three new sections have been added to help Pen Eyeball-worthy Content (value and applicability); make sure you Connect with Prospects (trust): and Reach Your Destination (stability).

In this issue, guest writer Joan Stewart, the publisher of The Publicity Hound, shares her hound smarts on how to get something out of the newsletter other than building relationships. If you’re interested in contributing an article related to Internet marketing and newsletters, drop us a line.

Also, we have reviewed a newsletter from the world of cable and provided feedback to help the company take its newsletter to the next level.

Let us know if the changes are in the right direction or if they’re heading south by completing a short reader survey and you could win a Handspring Prism handheld device.

Best,

Does the Brand Make the Sale?
"

Solve this chicken or egg puzzle

Wednesday, February 11, Noon EST

Building a brand without sales is dangerous. Creating a branding strategy that make no sense to your buyers, makes no cents to you. Remember the dot.com bomb? Start ups are not the only ones who are making major mistakes. Just look at these survey results. They show that 17 CEOs are speaking, but customers are not hearing them.

Rants and Raves

CableNet's News Wire

Many of us take cable for granted. We just know we have it and it's there for when we want to watch television or connect to the Internet. In reality, companies are hard at work behind the scenes to keep things going or fix them when needed. CableNet delivers hosted supply chain connectivity solutions to major global corporation. Its Supply Chain Connect product suite is a connectivity solution using Internet-based communication protocols to share information between manufacturers or distributors and their suppliers.
